The Suzhou Center of Gender-specific Biology and Medicine was established in September 2024 as a joint venture between the Institute of Neuroscience, Soochow University and Prof. Frank Kirchhoff of Saarland University, Germany.

The Center for Gender-specific Biology and Medicine (CGBM) is a scientific institution at the Medical Faculty of Saarland University. It conducts research into the fundamental mechanisms of gender-specific diseases in order to generate new knowledge for their prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The CGBM works closely with internal university and university-affiliated institutions, other universities, research institutions and the healthcare industry in Germany and abroad.

The Center is committed to promoting the integration of resources for neurobiological and medical gender research, building bridges between domestic and international medicine, contributing solid strength to the promotion of a healthy China and the development of the brain science field, and proposing to gradually establish a global network for neurobiological and medical gender research.
