报告人简介:

Dr. Yang graduated from FudanUniversity with a BS degree. She received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York in 1996. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory Dr. Andy McMahon at Harvard University, She jointed the Genetic Disease Research Branch of the National Human Genome Research Institute as a tenure–track investigator in 2000. She is currently head of the Developmental Genetics Section and a senior investigator in the Genetic Disease Research Branch, NHGRI.

Her lab uses molecular, cellular and genetic approaches to investigate how various signals are integrated in progenior or stem cells in order to dictate cell fates, regulate cell proliferation and establish cell polarity during morphogenesis. We mainly focus on the mammalian limb, skeleton and liver, and we are exploiting these systems to explore human biology and address the underlying pathological mechanisms of genetic and non-genetic diseases including cancer.
