Dr.Yao, received B.S. in laboratory medicine and Ph.D in clinical laboratory diagnostics from Jiangsu University in 2013 and 2018 respectively. During his Ph.D period, he conducted his research of doctoral thesis in Harvard Medical School as a joint PhD student. After obtained his PhD degree, he continued to stay in Bei Lab of Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow until 2022. He devoted into studying AAV vector development and gene therapy for CNS injury in his postdoctoral career. Then he joined Institute of Neuroscience, Soochow University, as a Principal Investigator in Dec. 2022.
His research work has been published in “Nature Biomedical Engineering”, “Nature Protocols”, “Journal of Controlled Release”, etc. He is also a member of Society of Neuroscience and American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy.
