During  October 24-27 2014, Professor Guangyin Xu and his postgraduates were invited to attend the 24th National Congress and physiology academic conference of Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences in Shanghai. Professor Guangyin Xu gave an academic report "hydrogen sulfide and chronic visceral pain" at the congress.

    Professor Xu’s student Hongyan Zhu’s paper was selected for oral presentation. During the section chaired by Professor Guangyin Xu and Professor Weizhen Zhang from Peking University, Hongyan Zhu made a wonderful presentation entitled "Adrenergic signaling mediates pancreatic hyperalgesia through activation of purinergic receptors in primary sensory neurons in rats with chronic pancreatitis", appropriately answered the audience’s questions, and obtained  a favorable applause from all the audience.

    In addition, Professor Guangyin Xu’s postgraduate Bo Yuan and Zhenyuan Song showed their achievements in poster presentation at this congress. It is worth congratulating that under the guidance of Professor Guangyin Xu, Bo Yuan won the "excellent Poster Award" in the fierce competition among more than 500 poster presenters from many colleges and universities.
