May 8-10, 2014, the 7th Dongwu Neurology Forum & 2014 Jiangsu Academic Conference on Neurodegenerative Disease was successfully held by Institute of Neuroscience, Soochow University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University in Suzhou.

    The forum invited many famous neuroscientists and scholars from the world well-known colleges and institutions. Prof. Chen Shengdi from Rui Jin Hospital Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Prof. Chen Biao from Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University, Prof. Jean-Marc Burgunder from University of Bern, Prof. Fu Yinghui from University of California, as well as over 80 scholars from all over the world came together to join the forum. The forum was chaired by Prof. Liu Chunfeng, head of Institute of Neuroscience and vice dean of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. They gave excellent lectures related to neurodegenerative diseases, dyskinetic diseases, pain and systemic diseases, cognition and brain disorders, cerebrovascular diseases as well as multidisciplinary sciences and exchanged their viewpoints with audience.

    The forum has built a successful communication platform between neuroscientists and neurology clinicians for the development of translational medicine in neuroscience. During these days, the 2014 Working Conference on Chinese Huntington’s Disease Network and Conference on database of Chinese Parkinson’s disease & construction criteria of biological sample bank launched at the same venue.
