The open of the learning class on autophagy and nervous system disease
Autophagy is a cellular cannibalistic “self eating” pathway where cellular proteins, cytoplasm and organelles are captured and targeted for proteolytic degradation in lysosomes. Autophagy and its role in nervous system disease had attracted the interest of scientists in the field of neuroscience research. In order to introduce new knowledge and technology on autophagy research to correlative clinicians and technical staff members, Second Affiliated Hospital, Soochow University and Institute of Neuroscience, Soochow University decided to hold a learning class on autophagy and nervous system disease in Suzhou during 10th and 13th December, 2009. The program belongs to National Continuing Education (number:
The class covers the recent researches of nervous system disease, molecule mechanisms and research methods of autophagy, the role of autophagy in some nervous system diseases such as Parkinson disease、Humtington's chorea、cerebrovascular disease. We will also open the floor for discussion about the new technology, progress, hotspots and difficulties of autophagy in the research of nervous system diseases. Welcome physicians,
postgraduates and technical staff members who are interested in our class to join us.
