Function: The Motorized Rat Stereotaxics combines the classic stereotaxic design with customized motors and state-of-the-art software. Integrated with popular stereotaxic atlases the StereoDrive software allows motorized, computer controlled stereotaxic positioning in all 3 orthogonal axes. The intuitive movement control enables unprecedented accuracy and higher throughput in all stereotaxic applications. Features: Enable to advance the probe from any angle without extensive calculations, Minimal vibration and a positioning reproducibility in the horizontal plane of better than 20° degrees and better than 5° on the vertical axis. The arch may be rotated forward or backward to vary the angle of approach. All preparative surgery may onveniently be done right on the base plate. External control input. The stepper can be driven at up to 1000 steps per second, 1 micron per step, within 0.02mm reproducibility. Displacement range obtained is over 100px. A manual radial manipulator provides an additional adjustment range of 250px. All instrument configurations are supplied complete with an assortment of stainless steel accessories for mounting auxiliary devices. These accessories include 6 each of the following: 1" diameter pillars, right angle rod holders, reducing sleeves to 1/2" diameter and 6 each rods 3/4", 1/2" and 3/8".
