Research Interests:

1) Neuroimmunology andpathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson's disease) and exploration of drug targets

2) The role of  transsulfuration pathway (TSP) in the processes of Parkinson’s disease development.

Resume:

Dr. Li-Fang Hu obtained the PhD degree in the department of Pharmacology in National University of Singapore in 2010. After that, she joined in the Institute of Neuroscience in Soochow University, and was promoted as a PI of Parkinson’s disease (PD) research group in 2015. Her group is interested in understanding the molecular pathogenesis of PD, focusing on the role of microglia-mediated inflammation in the development of PD.Since 2010, she and her team has already published more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals including Autophagy, J Neuroinflammation, Aging cellBrain Behavior Immunity, and etc.Now she is a member of the Chinese and American Society for Neuroscience and member of the Chinese Pharmacology society, and serves as the peer reviewer in several SCI journals. As a young PI, she got several grants including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Jiangsu Province, and the National Key R&D Program of China. She was also elected as ‘high-level creative and innovative talent in Suzhou City’ (2011)and the 16th batch of six talent peaks in Jiangsu Province (2019).
