Wu Bin, Ph.D.,is a visiting scholar at Indiana University School of Medicine. In 2010, he graduated from the School of Life Sciences of Shanghai University. In 2017, he received his Ph.D. from the School of Life Sciences of Shanghai University. From December 2016 to the present, he is a visiting scholar at Indiana University School of Medicine. The research direction of the doctoral period is as follows: 1. The pharmacological modulation and molecular recognition mechanism of the scorpion venom peptide BmP02 on voltage-gated potassium channels 2. The recognition mechanism of Martentoxin on the neuronal BK channel and voltage-gated potassium channel 3. Smooth muscle type BK Effect of glycosylation of channel β1 subunit on channel function and pharmacological properties 4. The effect of cytoplasmic membrane microenvironment changes on the electrophysiological and pharmacological properties of voltage-gated sodium channels. The current research directions is as follows : 1. The peripheral mechanism of neuropathic pain caused by the chemotherapy drug oxaliplatin 2. The analgesic effect and mechanism of coumarin compounds on neuropathic pain.3. The function of revived sodium current in the inflammatory pain model. What’s more,he is familiar with a variety of molecular biology, cell culture, electrophysiology, bioinformatics, animal behavior, data analysis and mapping technologies and operations.
